Denese Becker, adopted as a young child by Iowans, will discuss her discovery that she was the only one in her immediate family to survive government-sponsored massacres in Guatemala of hundreds of villagers in what was later termed "genocide" by the UN-sponsored Truth Commission. The documentary about her journey, "Discovering Domina" will be shown at 7 p.m. sponsored by Humanities Iowa, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Arts. At 8 p.m., ISU History and Latino Studies Professors Jerry Garcia and Patrick Barr-Melej will lead a discussion with Denese Becker and audience members.
