Kenneth L. Taylor is the C.B. Hudson/Torchmark Presidential Professor in the History of Science Department at the University of Oklahoma, and has written extensively on the history of geology and natural history. He will be discussing 18th and 19th century debate over the nature of volcanoes and impact of that debate on Darwin's thought and work. He received his doctorate from Harvard.
