The recent reemergence of the radical Weather Underground makes this acclaimed film timely and reminds us that the voice of dissent has its place in the American spirit. The radical leaders, including Kathy Boudin and Bernardine Dohrn, discuss the movement's goals, methods, triumphs, and failures while commenting on American values and processes that they would change. Because the people interviewed were wanted by the FBI, the filmmakers were surveilled and their footage subpoenaed in an unsuccessful attempt to suppress the film.
