Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mark received his BA, English Literature, and MA, Social Work, from the University of Wisconsin. mark's work in the arts is extensive. His past positions include: Executive Director of the Arts Council of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Founding Executive Director of the Greater St. Louis Arts and Education Council, Consultant to the National Foundation for the Arts, Special Consultant on the Arts in the White House, President of the Performing Arts Council of the Music Center of Los Angeles County, and is currently Publisher and Editor of The Arts Reporting Service. He is also author of Run Away Home (1961).
