Ramsey Clark is the founder of the International War Crimes Tribunal for the Gulf War. As Attorney General of the United States under President Lyndon B. Johnson, he supervised the drafting and passage of the 1968 Civil Rights Act and was the first attorney general to propose the abolition of the death penalty. His books include Crime in America and The Role of the Supreme Court.
