John A. Hannah is present head of the Agency for International Development. Dr. Hannah completed his education at Michigan State and has been awarded honorary Doctorate degrees from twenty-six American and three foreign universities. He has served on the International Development advisory Board, was Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Personnel, and was Chairman of the U.S. Section on the Permanent Joint Board on Defense, Canada-US. He has been President of Michigan State University and served as President of the Association of state Universities and Land Grant Colleges.
