Cecile Guidote-Alvarez, a Philippino self-exiled artist, is one of the most prominent theatre director-producers of the Philippines. Ms. Guidote-Alvarez established the Third World Institute of Theatre Art Studies and the Folk Arts for Communication and Education in New York. She is the recipient of the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay Distinguished Asian Award for the Arts.
