Col. Dwight E. Sullivan an Air Force pilot in the Vietnam conflict was shot down by enemy anti-aircraft on October 17,1967. His target that day had been the rail yards at Dep Cau, North Vietnam, 18 miles NE of Hanoi. He was captured and became a POW until his release on March 14,1973 . Dwight Sullivan retired from the United States Air Force as a Colonel. From the Lectures Program archive.
