Sahotra Sarkar is a professor of philosophy at the University of Texas, Austin, specializing in the history and philosophy of science. He has particular interests in the philosophy of biology and physics. Sahotra Sarkar is the author of the newly released Doubting Darwin? Creationist Designs on Evolution as well as Biodiversity and Environmental Philosophy: An Introduction (2005) and Genetics and Reductionism: A Primer (1998). He is also the editor of several books, including the six-volume Science and the Philosophy in the Twentieth Century: Basic Works of Logical Empiricism (1996) and the two-volume The Philosophy of Science: An Encyclopedia (2006). Sahotra Sarkar serves on the editorial boards of BioScience and Evolutionary Theory.
