Helen Sterk co-authored Who's Having This Baby? Perspectives on Birthing and co-edited several books, including Gender and Applied Communication. She is professor and chair of the Department of Comunication Arts and Sciences, Calvin College, where she teaches and writes on rhetoric, feminism, gender, and popular culture.
