Richard A. Freund is Director of the Maurice Greenberg Center for Judaic Studies and Greenberg Professor of Jewish History at the University of Hartford. He is also co-director of the Henry Luce Forum in Abrahamic Religions, director of the Bethsaida Archaeological Excavations Project, and director of the Dead Sea Cave of Letters Archaeological Project and the new Qumran Excavations Project.
