Geneva Overholser is editor of the Des Moines Register which recently won a Pulitzer Prize for a series of articles on a rape victim and has been embroiled in a debate on whether the newspaper should have printed a controversial ad for the animal rights group PETA. Before joining the Register, she was on the editorial board of The New York Times where she specialized in national security and foreign affairs.
