VOICES FROM THE PRAIRIE: - The Third Annual Iowa Writers' Celebration

Jane Smiley is the author of nine previous works of fiction, including The Age of Grief, The Greenlanders, Ordinary Love and Good Will, A Thousand Acres, for which she was awarded the Pulitzer Prize, and Moo. She previously taught at Iowa State University as a distinguished professor of English. John Cole, Director of the national Center for the Book in the Library of Congress will join Jane Smiley in a discussion of Iowa writers. Susan Carlson, Associate Provost and Professor of English, will moderate the discussion. This event is to celebrate the establishment of the Iowa Center for the Book.
