Jerry Mander, the author of Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television, believes that the medium's inherent problems are so dangerous to personal health and safety, to the environment, and to democratic processes that it should be eliminated. Once a traditional advertising executive, Mander became deeply involved in the Public Interest Advertising Movement ot the point of being called "the Ralph Nader of Advertising." he is currently working on a book, to be published by the Sierra Club, concerning native people and technological society.
