Norman Finkelstein is a political scientist, activist, professor, and author. He writes about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the politics of the Holocaust, an interest motivated by the experiences of his parents who were Jewish Holocaust survivors. Finkelstein is the author of ten books, including What Gandhi Says About Nonviolence, Resistance and Courage; The Rise and Fall of Palestine: A Personal Account of the Intifada Years;and Image and Reality of the Israel-Palestine Conflict. He received his PhD in political science from Princeton University and currently teaches at Sakarya University's Center for Middle Eastern Studies in Turkey.


Norman Finkelstein has held faculty positions at Brooklyn College, Rutgers University, Hunter College, New York University, and, most recently, DePaul University, where he was an assistant professor from 2001 to 2007.
