Igal Roodenko, past chairman of the War Resisters League, began his anti-war and civil rights activities as a conscientious objector during World War II. He has been involved with Freedom Rides in the South, demonstrations on behalf of Russian dissident writers and divestment protests against South Africa. From the University Lectures Program archive.
