David Goldman is an attorney and a member of the National Jewish Community Relations Advisory Council Task Force on the Bill of Rights. He chairs the Committee on Church-State issues and has been the chief litigator on Iowa cases involving the public display of religious symbols.

Peter Benson is the president of the Search Institute, a nonprofit research organization involved in in-depth research of issues related to the needs of children and youth, and is the author of Religion on Capitol Hill: Myths and Realities. He has a master's degree in the psychology of religion from Yale University and a doctorate in social psychology from the University of Denver.
