Earl O. Heady is the Charles f. Curtiss Distinguished Professor of Agriculture at Iowa State. he is the Director of the Center for Agricultural Development, a program which has greatly influenced the course of the agricultural "Green Revolution" in developing countries throughout the world. he has served on many national committees, including the White House Committee on Domestic Affairs and the US state Department Advisory Committee on World Food Programs. Dr. Heady was recently elected to the prestigious Soviet Academy of Agricultural Sciences. he is the only agricultural economist among the few selected Americans in the Academy.
