Lawrence Ziring is Director of the Institute of Government and Politics and a Professor of Political Science at Western Michigan University. He was the advisor of Pakistan Administrative Staff College in Lahore, Pakistan. His books include "Pakistan: The Enigma of Political Development," "The Subcontinent in World Politics: India, Its Neighbors and the Great Powers," and "Pakistan: The Long View."
