Joseph Collins has just completed a book on "The Philippines After Marcos." He is the co-founder of the Institute for Food and Development Policy, a nonprofit research and education center which investigates the root causes of hunger. He is co-author of a number of books including: Food First: Beyond the Myth of Scarcity, Aid as Obstacle, What Difference Could a Revolution Make?, and No Free Lunch: Food and Revolution in Cuba Today. he received his master's and doctorate in public policy at Columbia and has conducted extensive field research in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
