Sheppard, Department of Philosophy at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, teaches environmental ethics and policy, ethics, philosophy of religion, urban theory and policy, and pragmatism. His research centers on the project of developing an environmental ethic that is applicable to/for/in urban regions. He serves as a member and/or reviewer for various philosophical and environmental organizations.
