Professor Donald Zagoria, associate professor of government and member of the Russian and East Asian Institutes, Columbia University, received his B.A. from Rutgers University in 1948, his M.A. in political science from Columbia University in 1950, and his Ph.D. in political science from Columbia University, 1963. Professor Zagoria is widely known for his work on Sino-Soviet relations and testified at the United States Senate Foreign Relations committee hearings on United States policy toward China in the spring of 1966.
