Mr. Hersh won the Pulitzer Prize for his reporting on the My Lai massacre. He was a New York Times investigative reporter, press secretary and speech writer for Eugene McCarthy in 1968, and has just finished a book on Henry Kissinger and foreign policy during the Nixon administration.
