Barbara Love is Professor Emerti of Social Justice Education at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and speaks widely on how institutions deal with multicultural organizational development and social change. Love is a former teacher with an academic background in history and political science and has worked closely with schools and school systems throughout the United States and abroad. She also consults internationally on empowerment of women, and has published on such issues as internalized racism, self-knowledge for social justice educators, building alliances for change, and black identity development. ISCORE is a comprehensive forum on issues of race and ethnicity at Iowa State and beyond. Students, staff and faculty will provide [url=http://www.iscore.iastate.edu/sites/default/files/final%20abstracts.pdf]concurrent sessions[/url], and Luis Rico-Gutierrez, dean of the College of Design, will provide the 9:00am morning address. ISCORE will be held March 6, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., in the Memorial Union.

A [url=https://iastate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bQQaX9bcnTD6Oix]pre-conference[/url] will be held on Thursday, March 3, 11:30am - 5pm in the Memorial Union Sun Room. The workshop and sessions will provide a structured environment to enhance understanding and sensitivity to cultural differences. Many of the sessions will focus on providing tools to improve interactions and create inclusive workspaces. Dr. Heather Hackman will be the featured presenter and facilitator.
