Howard Zinn is best know for his book A People's History of the United States which is being made into a series on HBO. He is also the historian quoted by Matt Damon in the Academy -Award- winning film Good Will Hunting. Howard Zinn is Professor Emeritus of political science at Boston University, and was chairman of the History Department at Spelman College. His other books include Declarations of Independence: Cross- Examining American Ideology; You Can't Be Neutral on a Moving Train: A Personal History of Our Times, and The Politics of History.
