William T. Cavanaugh is the author of Torture and Eucharist: Theology, Politics, and the Body of Christ., and co-edited The Blackwell Companion to Political Theology. He is assistant professor of Theology at the University of St. Thomas, and received his doctorate in Religion from Duke University, his Masters in Theology and Religious Studies From Cambridge University in England, and his undergraduate degree in theology from University of Notre Dame.
