The History of the FBI: Survey and Surveillance

Athan G. Theoharis is currently a Professor of History at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received a PhD from the University of Chicago and has written numerous books and articles on recent American history, including Spying on Americans: Political Surveillance From Hoover to the Houston Plan and Beyond the Hiss Case: The FBI, Congress, and the Cold War.
