Winona Laduke is a member of the Mississippi Band, White Earth reservation, Anishinabe Nation, and works with a community-based land rights organization on the reservation. She received her masters from harvard, and has written extensively on issues of Native American economic development, environmental issues, and legal issues related to Native American affairs.
