David Ostendorf was the Director of PrairieFire Rural Action, the Des Moines-based education and advocacy organization which he co-founded in 1985. he is now working to forge linkages between urban and rural communities around political, economic and racial justice issues as a consultant on projects which include the Midwestern Long Term Recovery Program of the American friends Service Committee and the Town and Rural Ministries Institute of the United Church of Christ.
