Ellen Kennedy directs the Genocide Intervention Network in Minnesota, promoting education about genocide with special attention on Darfur. She is also the Outreach Coordinator at the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at the University of Minnesota. Kennedy holds doctorate degrees in both sociology and business from the University of Minnesota. She was a college professor for nearly thirty years, with an academic specialization in immigration. She will speak about the causes and consequences of the crisis in Darfur and steps that ordinary citizens can take to prevent and stop genocide. Part of the World Affairs Series.
