An aficionada of comic books and ladies' magazines is Mary Helen Dunlop, an instructor in the English Department at ISU. Like Caesar, she cut her undergraduate eyeteeth on Latin, then became enamoured with 19th century British literature in graduate school. Ms. Dunlop is co-author of the AAUP Report on the Status of Women at Iowa State University and has presented papers before other professional groups within her discipline.
