Vonnie C. McLoyd is a professor of psychology and African American Studies, and Senior Research Scientist at the Center for Human Growth and Development at the University of Michigan. She is a developmental psychologist whose research focuses on the impact of economic hardship on family processes and children's mental health. She is the co-editor of studying minority Adolescents: Conceptual, methodological, and Theoretical Issues.
