Donald Rothschild received his PhD in Political Science at John Hopkins University. he has been a member of the faculties at the University of California, Makerere University College (in Uganda), University College (at Nairobi) and the University of Zambia. He has written a number of other publications on the contemporary politics and international relations in Africa, particularly those of East Africa.
