Energy Matters

Michael Van Parys is the Director of Sustainability for Energy Vault whose mission is to identify, develop, and commercialize the most economic and sustainable grid-scale energy storage technology available in order to accelerate the global transition to a carbon-neutral energy grid. At Energy Vault, Michael has been leading the efforts in circular economy, using material science to close the loop by converting waste material to energy storage blocks. He is driven by efficiency and innovation. Michael Van Parys is a licensed architect in California, a LEED AP, and co-founder of Van Parys Architecture & Design. He is proud to have designed and built two of the largest LEED Platinum homes in the country, one of which captures rainwater, filters grey and black water for reuse and passively ventilate the house as the main cooling system.
