Brent Staples is on the editorial board of The New York Times and has written about the impact of technology on society and the individual. He is the author of Parallel Time: Growing Up Black and White. He was editor of The New York Times Book Review and reporter for The Chicago Sun-Times, and has a doctorate in psychology from the University of Chicago.
