Alejandro Bendana recently stepped down as Secretary General of the Nicaraguan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is director of the Center for International Studies in Managua, a social and economic research institute established to study the effects of Perestroika on developing nations. he received his doctorate from Harvard in economic history.
