Dr. Katz is professor of Sociology and communications at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Professor at the Annenberg School of communications, University of Southern California. His research in mass media and communications has resulted in ten books and 70 publications. Among his recent books are: Mass Media and Social Change; Almost Midnight; Reforming the Late Night News; and Broadcasting in the Third World: Promises and Performance.
