Richard Poss is an associate professor in the Astronomy Department at the University of Arizona and former director (2001-4) of the university's Humanities Program. He regularly teaches a course titled "Science and the Humanities," which examines topics such as robotics and artificial intelligence, planetary science and space exploration, genetic design and bioengineering.
