A 1965 Harvard graduate, Si Khan has since worked in the South as a civil rights activist, an advocate of farmers' cooperatives, and a labor organizer among miners and mill workers. He is a well-known folk singer and the author of two books: How People Get Power and Organizing: A Guide for Grassroots Leaders.
