Funding requests must be received by the Lectures Program no later than six weeks before the anticipated event date. If the event is within six weeks, contact the Lectures Program staff to discuss the event directly.

A short bio of the speaker, including their current position, relevant prior position(s) and important publications, honors or awards. (3-5 sentences)

Lectures events should be scheduled to begin at 6pm unless special circumstances are provided.
90 minutes is the minimum amount of time for a simple presentation: 45-50 minutes by speaker; 10-15 minutes Q&A; 30 minutes for book signing, meet-and-greet, or reception. If your event will last longer than 90 minutes, please provide details.

For an approved evening lecture, the Committee on Lectures will provide funding to cover, if needed, room and AV fees, basic publicity, recording, and captioning. COL funding cannot be used to pay for food and beverages at events.
