Memoir of an Integration Baby: On the Road to Tomorrow - Mark Morrison
Mark Morrison-Reed is the author of In Between: Memoir of an Integration Baby. In this frank and personal account of growing up black during the era of the civil rights movement, he wrestles with racism, the death of Martin Luther King, black radicalism, his interracial family, and serving as one of the first black Unitarian Universalist ministers. In his presentation, he will explore the nature of racism and how it touches all Americans. He and his wife, Donna, have served as co-ministers for twenty-six years, first in Rochester, New York, then in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His book Black Pioneers in a White Denomination is required reading for those preparing to enter the Unitarian Universalist ministry. He earned his M.A. from the University of Chicago and D.Min from Meadville Lombard Theological School. Part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Series.
