ISU Professor Emeritus Robert Harvey will discuss the work of landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx and his role in the transition between the Gardenesque and Modernist garden movements. Marx, a Renaissance man whose passions also included botany, painting, and sculpture created gardens in his native Brazil using lush, tropical plants in an abstract artist's eye.
