Albert White Hat is a Traditional Chief of the Sicangu Lakota Nation and director of the Lakota Language Program at Sinte Gleska University, located on the Rosebud Reservation in Mission, South Dakota. He is the author of Reading and Writing the Lakota Language. White Hat has been the president of the Sinte Gleska University Board of Directors and a Rosebud Tribal Representative. The 2007 Richard Thompson Memorial Lecture.
