Robert Mason is faculty at the University of Washington Information School, where he studies the philosophy and ethics of technology management and the cultural aspects of social media and knowledge management. He is a founding member of the Social Media Lab @ UW (somelab.net) and has worked with teams of students on information flows related to the Occupy movement and responses to disasters and crises. Mason served as Associate Dean for Research for the school from 2006 to 2010. He previously was on the faculties of the College of Business at Florida State University and the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
