For over 138 years, the mystery of Jack the Ripper has captivated historians, criminologists, and the public alike. What is it about this particular case that continues to fascinate the world? Who was responsible? In this talk, we will take a historical and analytical look at the infamous Jack the Ripper case and its victims.  Why today are there still individuals being accused of committing this heinous crime?

Laurie Smith Law has served as the Administrative Director of the University Honors Program since 2007. She brings extensive leadership experience to the role, having served on the Board of Directors for the National Collegiate Honors Council from 2011 to 2014. She currently co-chairs the organization’s Professional Development Committee. In her position, Laurie collaborates closely with the Honors staff and the Honors Student Board to ensure that members of the Honors Program benefit from a rich and engaging academic experience.
