Korrina Horta is an economist with the Environmental Defense Fund where she carries out research on the environmental and social impact of projects funded by multilateral development bank. She played a leading role in international efforts to reform the Global environment Facility, a World Bank managed Fund, that was set up by governments to address non-governmental organizations in several African countries in an effort to ensure that internationally funded projects do not contribute to environmental destruction and harm local people.
