2025 William K. Deal Endowed Leadership Lecture
Gretta Irwin has served as Executive Director and Home Economist for the Iowa Turkey Federation since 1994, leading with purpose and elevating Iowa’s turkey industry on both state and national levels. A Central College graduate, Gretta brings over 30 years of experience shaped by agricultural partnerships, mentorship, and a values-driven approach to leadership. Her deep commitment to Iowa State University includes championing the Stanely L. Balloun Turkey Teaching and Research Facility and supporting the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, ensuring lasting impact on students and agricultural programs. Honored as an ISU Honorary Alumna, Gretta continues to inspire future leaders with her advocacy, generosity, and signature encouragement to “embrace who you are.”
