How AI Is Changing Business: Lessons from Startups, Manufacturing, and Defense

Dr. Tom Hall is a former United States Army Ranger currently serving as the director of defense for Jabil with a focus on emerging products. His previous role within Jabil was as the director of AI. He spent seven years working for startups before joining Cisco as a program manager of applied AI followed by helping build the program management team at Veritas. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of South Florida where he teaches graduate and undergraduate classes. He earned his BA from Iowa State University, MA from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and his Doctorate at USF.

Hall will discuss how artificial intelligence is transforming the defense and aerospace industries, from streamlining data governance and decision-making to accelerating the pace of innovation. Drawing on his experience leading AI initiatives at Jabil and his research into the intersection of venture capital and defense technology, he'll offer insight into how emerging tech is reshaping both the battlefield and the industries that support it—and what it will take to scale next-generation defense solutions to meet growing demand.
