Podcast/Audio

When possible, and with the permission of the speaker(s), the ISU Lectures Program makes audio files of its lectures available on this site. Users may download .MP3 files to their desktop or subscribe to the Lectures Program podcast.

Podcast

The Lectures Program podcast is available at: http://realserver.ait.iastate.edu:8080/ITS/Podcasts/Lectures.xml

To subscribe to this podcast in iTunes, go to the "Advanced" menu and select "Subscribe to Podcast." Copy and paste (or type) the information above into the dialog box and click OK.

Or, open iTunes and your Web browser at the same time, and arrange the windows so you can see both programs. Drag and drop the RSS or XML graphic above into iTunes.

Older versions of iTunes may not support podcasting. You may need to update your software in order to subscribe to this feed.

Individual Audio Files

Users can also download the audio files of individual presentations directly from this site.

Use the "Search Lectures" tool in the left navigation bar to find the presentation of interest. Click on the lecture description to go to main page for that presentation. If an audio file is available, you will see a "Download Audio" link in the "Actions" bar near the top of the page.

When you click on “Download Audio,” the .MP3 audio file for the lecture will begin to download and play on your computer or you will be prompted to save the file. The action depends on your computer’s default audio settings. An audio player such as iTunes, Windows Media Player or RealPlayer is required to listen to the audio files.

Audio files for lectures taped before January 2006 may not yet be available on this site. Those lectures can be accessed through the Parks Library University Archive. Lectures taped during the current academic year are available through Information Technology Classroom Services (515-294-8026). Classroom Services also provides duplication of audio files, when allowed by the speaker, for a nominal charge.
