Audio Downloads
When possible, and with the permission of the speaker(s), the Lectures Program makes audio files of its lectures available on this site.
Use the "Search Lectures" tool in the navigation bar at the left to find the presentation of interest. Click on the lecture description to go to the webpage for that event. If an audio file is available, you will see a "Download Audio" link in the "Actions" bar near the top of the page.
When you click on “Download Audio,” the .MP3 audio file will begin to download and play on your computer or you will be prompted to save the file. The action depends on your computer’s default audio settings. An audio player such as iTunes, Windows Media Player or RealPlayer is required to listen to the audio files.
Audio files for lectures taped before January 2006 may not be available on this site. Those lectures can be accessed through the Parks Library University Archives. Lectures taped during the current academic year are also available through Information Technology Classroom Services (515-294-8026). When allowed by the speaker, Classroom Services provides CD duplication of audio files for a nominal charge.
