 nAmy Sedaris is best known for her role as Jerri Blank in th
 e television series and 2006 movie adaptation of Strangers w
 ith Candy\, and\, most recently\, for sharing her domestic s
 kills in the satirical guide to entertaining I Like You: Hos
 pitality Under the Influence. Sedaris has appeared in the mo
 vies Elf\, School of Rock\, Maid in Manhattan\, the film ver
 sion of Bewitched and on television in Rescue Me\, Monk\, Ju
 st Shoot Me! Sex and the City\, and in My Name Is Earl. She 
 also made a guest appearance on Sesame Street as a flustered
  Snow White who keeps losing her dwarves. With her brother\,
  author and essayist David Sedaris\, Amy has coauthored seve
 ral plays. She also coauthored the text-and-picture novel Wi
 gfield with Paul Dinello and Stephen Colbert\, her coauthors

 of Home Economics Story\, a 1953 Iowa State College of Home 
 Economics production depicting the many careers open to the 
 college-trained home economist. It's a special tribute to ou
 r featured guest\, the diva of domestic arts.\n\nA former me
 mber of Chicago-based Second City and Annoyance Theatre come
 dy troupes\, she is known for her role as \"Jerri Blank\" in
  the television series Strangers with Candy. The show\, whic
 h she cowrote with Paul Dinello and Stephen Colbert was base
 d on Sedaris' impression of 1970s motivational speaker Florr
 ie Fisher. Sedaris has appeared in the movies Elf\, School o
 f Rock\, Maid in Manhattan\, the film version of Bewitched a
 nd is featured in David Munro's upcoming [i[]Full Grown Men.
  She also starred in the 2006 film adaptation of Strangers w
 ith Candy. In addition to acting\, she runs a cupcake and ch
 eese ball business (\"Dusty Food Cupcakes\") out of her kitc
 hen.\n\nShe coauthored the text-and-picture novel Wigfield w
 ith Paul Dinello and Stephen Colbert\, published in 2003. As
  of 2005\, Sedaris writes a monthly advice column in The Bel
 iever. She has written a guide to entertaining titled I Like
  You: Hospitality Under the Influence\, published in October
  2006 by Warner Books. That light-hearted approach to cookin
 g stayed on the New York Times bestsellers list for over twe
 lve weeks and currently has over 350\,000 copies in print.\n
